Tom Brady reveals Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes will be feeling ‘acute pain’ at losing the Super Bowl

Published

The Kansas City Chiefs players are still recovering from the pain of their defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles just over a week ago.

The Eagles had complete control over the game from beginning to end – pressuring quarterback Patrick Mahomes, shutting down tight end Travis Kelce, and then carving up the Chiefs defense with ease.

Now, KC has to deal with the aftermath of their second loss in the Super Bowl in the Mahomes-era and will need to re-group for next season.

It’s a crushing blow to their dynasty which completely halts any arguments about Mahomes being the ‘GOAT’ (for now) as he deals with the blowout.

Who better to relate to than the man who beat you for your first Super Bowl loss and the person you’re trying to surpass as the best in the sport?

In a day-in-the-life style video, Tom Brady vlogged his way through Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans – showing off what he did in the run-up and after the first championship game he has ever broadcasted.

You just don’t sleep for a couple of days,’ Brady revealed. ‘You think it’s a nightmare, you really do. You’re like, “it didn’t happen, I woke up, it was a bad dream” and then you’re like… it sinks in.

‘And then ultimately, you get over it. I mean, acute pain, but then there’s that chronic scar tissue of making it that far and then coming up short.

‘Giants, Eagles. Especially when you’re the better team. In all three Super Bowls we lost, we were the better team. Not that day, but…’

Brady lost his first championship game in Super Bowl XLII – when the then-undefeated New England Patriots losing by three points to a New York Giants team that had gone 10-6 in the regular season.

He once again tasted defeat against the Giants in Super Bowl XLVI – losing once again by an incredibly thin margin.

His third Super Bowl loss came against another NFC East team – the Philadelphia Eagles – in Super Bowl LII.

In one of the highest-scoring NFL games in history, the Patriots lost by eight points
Now, he’ll have to hope that the team can stick together amid a slew of expiring contracts to try and take another crack at Super Bowl LX in 2026.
