Travis Kelce Receives Hollywood Endorsement Amid Uncertain Chiefs Future

Time is ticking for Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce to decide on his NFL future after Kansas City’s brutal Super Bowl LIX defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles earlier this month.
Whether or not he plays another season, the impact that the three-time Super Bowl champion made on the field throughout his career is undeniable. He reportedly has until March 14 to inform the Chiefs if he intends to return next season.
If he does retire from football, he will quickly be scouted for his similar ability to make “a huge difference” on projects in Hollywood, according to a film producer who worked with Kelce.
Kelce’s first film as an executive producer, “My Dead Friend Zoe,” premiered in Los Angeles on Monday. Fellow producer Paul Scanlan told People that the buzz around Kelce in Hollywood is rooted in his talents, not just his celebrity.
“He’s such a likable guy and he’s a good actor,” Scanlan praised. “I mean, he’s proven that he’s been in some good material. And he’s a good producer.”
Kelce made his television scripted acting debut in 2024 on FX’s “Grotesquerie.” He has also hosted Prime Video’s “Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity” and reportedly has a role in Netflix’s “Happy Gilmore

His burgeoning entertainment career is fueled further by the ever present spotlight on his relationship with pop star Taylor Swift. According to Scanlan, Kelce’s widespread fame is invaluable to the projects he takes on as a producer.
“He’s made a difference in our project,” Scanlan said. “He’s really good at generating attention and getting attention on a worthy project.”

“He’s a giving person, he’s very Midwestern that way,” he continued on Kelce. “I feel like he wants to do purposeful projects. And having him involved has helped us achieve our mission, getting this film out to more people where it can really make a difference.”
