Meghan Markle announces new podcast ‘Confessions of a Female Founder’ after $20M Spotify disaster

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, is set to launch a new podcast titled “Confessions of a Female Founder,” premiering on April 8, 2025. This announcement comes after her previous $20 million deal with Spotify for the “Archetypes” podcast was not renewed.
Produced in collaboration with Lemonada Media, the upcoming eight-episode series will feature candid conversations with successful female entrepreneurs, offering insights into their journeys, challenges, and business strategies. Meghan expressed her enthusiasm for the project, highlighting the inspiring and fun nature of these discussions as she embarks on building her own brand, As Ever.
This venture marks Meghan’s return to podcasting after her previous series, “Archetypes,” which aimed to explore and challenge societal labels that hold women back. Despite a strong debut, the podcast faced challenges, including allegations of a difficult work environment and claims that Meghan did not personally conduct some interviews, leading to its discontinuation after one season.
The new podcast aims to provide listeners with behind-the-scenes insights into the experiences of female founders, aligning with Meghan’s personal entrepreneurial journey. A trailer for the series is scheduled for release on March 25, 2025.
In addition to her podcasting endeavors, Meghan recently launched an eight-part Netflix series, “With Love, Meghan,” and is preparing to introduce her lifestyle brand, As Ever, in the coming weeks.
“Confessions of a Female Founder” will be available on major audio platforms, including Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Podcasts. Meghan’s partnership with Lemonada Media reflects her commitment to producing content that resonates with audiences and supports women’s empowerment.
