Mayor of Buffalo assures Taylor Swift that she will see the Chiefs lose on Sunday

The mayor has warned Taylor that if she chooses to attend Sunday’s game, she should be prepared to see her boyfriend’s team lose

The mayor of Buffalo has warned Taylor Swift that she will watch the Kansas City Chiefs lose, if she attends Sunday’s game in the city.

The Chiefs will face off against the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs, on Sunday January 21. Mayor Byron Brown has made it known that the singer is welcome at their home Highmark Stadium, but she should be prepared to see her boyfriend, Travis Kelce’s team lose.

Mayor Brown said: “There are many Swifties here in Buffalo and Western New York. She’s going to be welcomed here with open arms. And the treatment that she receives here will be so warm and so good that it will ease the pain that she will feel from the Chiefs losing the game.”

Taylor Swift was first spotted supporting her boyfriend who plays number 87 for the Chiefs, in September 2023, shortly after the two were linked. Since then, she has appeared at many of their games in different cities around the country. Each time she sparks excitement from crowd members who are also Taylor Swift fans.

The Bills called on their fans to help them in their battle against the Steelers last week. Heavy snowfall in the city saw hundreds of locals spending their weekend clearing the stadium, in time for kickoff Sunday. The original time had to be amended, from 1pm to 4.30pm.

Once again, this week, they face adverse weather conditions, and are once again calling on their fans to arrive Friday morning, to assist with clearing the snow. They are once again offering the locals $20 per hour for their time.
