The celebration shocked the internet but his mom Donna expected nothing less

While Jason Kelce left the internet stunned with his beer-chugging, shirt-stripping celebrations during brother Travis’s game last week, his mom Donna seemingly expected nothing less.

The Philadelphia Eagles center went viral on Sunday when he was captured leaping out of the VIP suite at Highmark Stadium after ripping off his shirt to celebrate the first of Travis’s touchdowns in the Kansas City Chiefs’ win over the Buffalo Bills.

Despite warnings from his wife Kylie to be on his best behavior as they met Travis’s girlfriend Taylor Swift for the first time, Jason was filmed roaring into the night without his top on, holding a can of beer in the 20 degree weather.

Kylie could be seen watching on stunned in the background as the celebrations in suite erupted while mom Donna was pointing at Jason going wild.

And Donna has now admitted that her eldest son’s antics came as no surprise as she revealed it wasn’t a new occurrence for the NFL veteran.

‘No, not at all. No,’ she told PEOPLE when asked it she was surprised by Jason’s hilarious boozy display.

She admitted that Jason’s has performed similar moves, saying he’s ‘done it on occasion’ and citing the Eagles Super Bowl parade as an example.

‘He just saves it for special moments,’ she said before revealing Jason tends to keep this side of himself hidden when he’s in football mode.

‘A lot of people don’t see it because he’s all business nine times out of 10 when he is on the field,’ Donna added. ‘He’s so focused with the game and he’s so into it that people don’t see that side of him.’

She shared that her eldest was ‘just as lighthearted and as fun and as in the moment as Travis is’ off the field but ‘is more businesslike when it comes to football.’

Jason’s season came to an end last week when the Philadelphia Eagles were defeated by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the wild card round on January 15 and Donna claimed that the elimination means the father-of-three ‘can finally let his hair down.’

‘It’s a long season that you have to behave yourself,’ she added.

Jason’s wife Kylie also didn’t appear shocked by her husband’s antics as she broke her silence on the celebration Friday.

‘That’s my husband,’ she joked in an interview on Good Morning America.

‘He wanted to get the full Bills experience. They are notorious, or famous, for their tailgating skills.

‘He desperately wanted to go through a table. It was on his checklist for the day. He did not get a chance to do that.

His wife, Kylie Kelce, has spoken out on the extraordinary scenes to Good Morning America
‘When he came into the suite – we arrived separately because he was meeting up with some friends and walking through the parting lot hoping to find a table, he was unsuccessful.

‘But when he got into the suite he said to me “I’m gonna take my shirt off and jump out” and I said I don’t think it’s a good idea. But I think it was that continued energy. The first time he jumped out the suite I was, you know what, “go ahead, that’s my husband”.’

Jason has the opportunity to repeat his display this Sunday when the Kansas City Chiefs travel to Baltimore to face the Ravens in the AFC Championship game.

Good Morning America confirmed that the veteran center, who is expected to retire this offseason, will be cheering on Travis at M&T Bank Stadium alongside Kylie.
