What time is Chiefs vs. Ravens on today? TV channel, schedule for NFL playoff AFC Championship game

Legacies are on the line in the AFC championship game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens.

For the Chiefs, it a shot at a third Super Bowl in the six seasons of the Patrick Mahomes-Andy Reid era. The duo made the conference title game every season since 2018, but only advanced to the Super Bowl three times and won it twice: in 2019 and 2022, with a loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020 sandwiched in the middle.

The Ravens, meanwhile, are attempting to start a run of shots at the Lombardi Trophy after Baltimore locked quarterback Lamar Jackson in to a long-term contract. He’s on the cusp of his second career MVP award on arguably the best version of the Ravens he’s played with in his career. Baltimore hasn’t even been to a conference championship game since 2012, during which it won its first and only Super Bowl of the past decade.

All eyes will be on Mahomes and Jackson when either offense takes the field. Both were among the top quarterbacks in the league this year, although Jackson proved to be a more effective all-around weapon while Mahomes maintained his reputation as arguably the best passer in the league.

Jackson has the better unit around him, though, with wideouts Zay Flowers, Odell Beckham Jr. and Rashod Bateman. Tight end Mark Andrews will also return from his mid-season ankle injury after the team activated him off injured reserve Friday.

Mahomes and the Chiefs go almost exclusively through tight end Travis Kelce after the veteran pass-catcher tallied two touchdowns in the divisional win over the Buffalo Bills. Running back Isiah Pacheco is a huge question mark for the game, though, as he deals with toe and ankle injuries after missing multiple practices this week.

While both teams are known for their quarterbacks and their offenses, the defenses could be on full display as well. Baltimore and Kansas City finished with the Nos. 1 and 2 scoring defense, respectively, during the 2023 regular season. The two sides also rank first and second in sacks, as the Ravens recorded 60 and the Chiefs tallied 57.
