Was Taylor Swift disgusted by CBS broadcast Grammys promo? Lip readers chime in
The pop singer enjoyed the AFC Championship game from a VIP suite at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore
Everyone knew that CBS was going to take advantage of Taylor Swift’s presence at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore on Sunday, but what was not on the bingo cards was Swift visibly disapproving of them showing her on the broadcast.
Swift, who is cheering on boyfriend Travis Kelce as the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC title game, is sharing a VIP suite with friends including Keliegh Teller and Brittany Mahomes.
During the broadcast, after the game returned from halftime, CBS ran a promo of the Grammy ceremony, which will air on the same network next Sunday, February 3.
After airing the promo they switched to a shot of Swift in the VIP suite, who was seemingly checking out a screen that was showing the game.
When the singer noticed she was on camera she could be seen mouthing something to her friends, and according to lip readers she said “Go away please!”.
After reviewing the video, other X users offered their own lip reading and commented that instead, the singer showed excitement saying “Ohh the Grammys!”.
While we may never know what Swift actually said on camera, this latest chapter of Taylor Swift at NFL stadiums saga’ will undoubtedly make the list of complaints from NFL fans unhappy with game broadcasts showing the singer enjoying herself with friends while cheering on the Chiefs.
While that was going on in the stands, on the field, Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, had a stellar first half performance that helped propel the Chiefs to a 17-7 halftime lead.
So far in the game Kelce has one touchdown and 102 total yards with 10 receptions in 10 targets.
Kelce also broke the NFL record for most playoff receptions (152) which was previously held by Jerry Rice.
