Adele Lashes Out At NFL Fans Who Are Taylor Swift Critics: ‘Get A Life’
Adele‘s number one sport is understandably basketball, as her husband Rich Paul is a sports agent whose most notable client is LeBron James; but that doesn’t mean that she doesn’t have opinions about football too.
The 35-year-old “Easy on Me” singer, who is currently performing her Weekends with Adele show at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, had a lot to say to fans who came to her show the day before the Super Bowl; and in true Adele fashion, she did *not* hold back!
Adele Defends Taylor Swift During Her Las Vegas Performance
Sitting at a piano while wearing a stunning long black off-the-shoulder dress, Adele told fans how she really feels about the current backlash the “Anti-Hero” singer is facing from NFL fans for supporting boyfriend Travis Kelce at his Kansas City Chiefs games. Spoiler alert: Adele is not here for it!
“I’m a bit torn because I kind of want the 49ers to win, but I also want the Chiefs to win,” the “Someone Like You” hitmaker said, which has been shared on social media many times since.
“I think I want the Chiefs to win just because of Taylor Swift’s boyfriend; and all of you that are complaining about Taylor Swift being at games get a [expletive] life,” the outspoken musician said.
“It’s her [expletive] boyfriend,” the Grammy winner continued, before going on to say that she doesn’t understand American football that well, so Taylor’s relationship with the tight end makes it more “enjoyable” for her. Aww! “It’s actually made it a bit more enjoyable to watch, because like I said I have no idea what’s going on,” Adele confessed.
What Have Taylor Swift And Travis Kelce Said About The Backlash?
The “Karma” singer has commented on the backlash to her presence at Chiefs games before, and told Time magazine last year that she’s not there to cause trouble, and is “just there to support Travis.” She added: “I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and [expletive] off a few dads, Brads and Chads.”
Kelce also defended his girlfriend during an interview on The Pat McAfee Show last month, and said: “Hopefully, everybody realizes that we’re just two people in a relationship supporting each other and having fun with it, man. It’s nothing more than that, and how much the world wants to paint the picture and make us the enemy, we just have fun with it, and we enjoy every single bit of it.”
