As 100s of Taylor Swift Fans Get Tattoos, Travis Kelce’s Mom Calls It “Defacing the Body”

The tattoo parlors of Melbourne saw an influx of Swifties getting inked as Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour hits Australia. Tattoo artists and fans have been sharing social media posts about designs inspired by the singer’s songs. As fans stand in hour-long lines to get inked with their idol’s references, there is one mother figure connected to Swift, who isn’t excited about the idea.

During a podcast with their mother, Donna, Travis, and Jason Kelce asked their mother about tattoos. The NFL brothers joked about whether she supported it when fans asked to sign their babies, to which Donna laughingly replied, “No,” but “Dolls, yes.”

Donna further shared that she isn’t a fan of people getting inked. She said, “I don’t think you should ever even put a Sharpie on an adult. I’m not into tattooing.” Donna further called the process “defacing the body.”

Lucky for the Chiefs’ tight end, his beau, Taylor Swift, isn’t a big fan of the idea either! In a 2012 interview with the Taste of Country, the singer confessed that she “doesn’t want to get a tattoo ever.” She elaborated that she cannot devote herself to something as permanent as getting inked. It seems like Donna’s strong views against tattoos are not going to be a problem for the popular couple.
