Will Taylor Swift Attend the Met Gala 2024?

As award season wraps up and we start gearing up for the next big event on our calendars—the Met Gala 2024—Swifties are clamoring to hear whether Taylor Swift will be in attendance at this year’s edition of the most illustrious fashion event of the year—outside, of course, of fashion week.

While we typically don’t find out the final guest list until the night before the annual gathering of celebs from far and wide, fans have uncovered a few clues that point to a possible appearance by Swift, who hasn’t shown up since 2016—where her brief fling with Tom Hiddleston kicked off, and where she met her now-ex Joe Alwyn for the first time.

Despite skipping out on every year since, fingers are crossed that this time around we might finally get another fashion-forward appearance fitting the theme of “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion.”

The first indicator is the fact that her Eras Tour doesn’t kick off again until May 9, 2024, in Paris, France. With the Met Gala scheduled to be held on May 6, 2024, Swift has already proved that a tight travel deadline means nothing to her.

One Instagram-savvy fan uncovered the next potential clue when they discovered that Joseph Cassell Falconer, Swift’s stylist, seemingly recently followed the gala’s official account.

The user, @taylahschild, also posted a rumored invitation list including the “Karma” singer’s name to the social media platform, though there’s no way to tell where it came from or if there’s any merit to it.

Fans will unfortunately just have to sit tight to see if it all comes to fruition this year, but there’s certainly a high level of anticipation surrounding the possibility.
