He’s been described as a ‘unicorn’, an ‘alien’ and a ‘freak of nature’, and Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce has a hilarious theory on how Wemby was ‘made’.

Speaking on the recent episode of his ‘New Heights’ podcast with brother Jason, the NFL tight end said of Wembanyama: “You can’t tell me that dude wasn’t made in a f***ing lab over there in France.

“Lab-grown diamonds, that’s a lab-grown-f***ing NBA player,” he joked.

As for Wemby, while it may seem like he was made in a lab, the reality is he’s been blessed with incredible genetics and God-given talent.

The 20-year-old France star is doing things fans haven’t seen before in a year that’s supposed to be about him finding his feet.

In December, he became the youngest player in NBA history to put up at least 20 points and 20 rebounds in a game.

In February, Wemby notched the second triple-double of his career 27 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 blocks in a 122–99 win over the Toronto Raptors.

He became the first player to achieve a triple-double via points, rebounds, and blocks since Clint Capela in 2021 and became the first player in NBA history to put up a 20-point, 10-block triple-double in fewer than 30 minutes played.

Against the Lakers later that month, he became the youngest player in NBA history to record a five-by-five – a total of five in five statistical categories.
