Meghan Markle ‘hurt’ by bitter feud and wants crunch talks with Royal Family as Prince Harry ‘moving on’
Meghan Markle has been left genuinely hurt by the Sussexes’ bitter feud with the Royal Family, a source has claimed.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s relationship with Prince William and Princess Kate has deteriorated over the last few years.
Meghan and Harry stepped down as working members of the Royal Family in 2020 and moved to the US later that year
The couple have taken multiple public swipes at Kate and William with the most notable occurring in a 2021 TV interview with Oprah Winfrey and Harry’s autobiography Spare, which was published in January 2023.
The Duke of Sussex is now ready to move on from the feud, according to an insider.
However, Meghan Markle is said to want to hold crunch talks with senior royals regarding the feud.
The source added that the Royal Family are not prepared to undertake peace talks with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
They told the Express: “Harry is more willing to move on, let’s just say that.
“It is not a case of Meghan being difficult, she genuinely feels hurt and would like some kind of sit down to hash things through – but that is not something the other side is willing to consider at this time.”
It comes an insider claimed Prince William was rubbing salt in the wound as his feud with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle continues.
The Prince of Wales met with Taylor Swift last month and was snapped alongside the popstar with his two eldest children Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
Meghan Markle had previously tried to secure Swift as a guest on her Archetypes podcast but an appearance did not materialise.
The insider has now claimed that Meghan and Harry are finding it hard to see the musician building a friendship with the Prince of Wales.
The source told Closer: “Taylor is very much on the royals’ radar right now, it is not just Princess Charlotte and Prince George that love her, everyone’s raving about her and how talented and charming she is.
