Jonathan Owens Makes Big Admission About His and Simone Biles’ Future Kids

It’s no secret that Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens wants to have a family.

In fact, his wife Simone Biles joked that they would’ve had kids yesterday if it were up to him. But when the power couple does have kids — however long into the future that may be — they’ve seemingly agreed on one thing: they won’t force their kids into sports just because they’re both professional athletes.

“If that’s what they want to do, I’m not going to try to force anything on them,” Owens told People magazine. “Obviously they’re going to know what their parents did, so that’ll be just something cool for them to look at and for us to be able to relive those stories and memories with them.

[Simone is] big on taking pictures and we’ll have stuff framed up for them, but honestly, whatever they want to do, I’ll just support them 100%. I don’t want to force them and make it feel like you have to do this because we did.”

What Biles’ future holds has been a hot-button topic since she competed in her final event of the 2024 Paris Olympics last week — a silver-medal-winning performance in the floor exercise final.

The 27-year-old didn’t rule out possibly competing in the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles, but she also said her age will play a factor in her future decision as well as her and Owens’ decision about when to start their family.

“Me and Jonathan always talk about kids,” Biles said. “Obviously we both have goals that we want to achieve before we start a family. But yes, that’s definitely in our future.”
