Simones Biles loves ‘pissing people off’ with her diamond ‘GOAT’ necklace
Simone Biles is sending a subtle message to both her fans — and haters.
Stopping by the “Tonight Show” on Wednesday, the 27-year-old gymnast wore a sleek brown blazer over a coordinating dress, but it was her goat-shaped pendant necklace that stole the spotlight.
As she chatted with Jimmy Fallon, the host took a second to point out the dazzling silver statement piece, which was designed by Janet Heller Fine Jewelry and features a whopping 546 diamonds.
You are revered — people call you the GOAT,” Fallon explained, noting that the word is actually an acronym for the term “greatest of all time.”
“And you are the GOAT,” the host concluded.
Biles — who has now won 11 Olympic medals and 30 World Championship medals — holds the record for the most decorated gymnast of all time.
Asked whether she has officially embraced the title, the pro explained that the necklace is both in honor of her supporters and critics.
Well, I think it’s funny to play off,” she told Fallon. “Obviously all my fans and people have embraced, loved and supported me throughout my journey, but also [it’s for] the haters, because there’s always the comments like ‘Stop calling her the GOAT. She’s not the GOAT.’”
“So, it’s like it makes people happy and then it just pisses people off,” she said.
This isn’t the first time Biles has sported the stunning accessory.
After taking home the gold at the all-around final during the 2024 Paris Olympics, she made sure to flash the charm in celebration of her win.
In an Instagram post shared by Janet Heller Fine Jewelry, it was revealed that Biles herself has commissioned the piece, which is said to represent “her dedication, perseverance, and the spirit that has inspired generations.”
The gymnast echoed the statement on Wednesday, after Fallon asked Biles what she would want her legacy to be.
“I feel like throughout gymnastics, as long as I’m inspiring the next generation, and having fun and just making sure that it’s not all about winning but still putting a good foot forward, even when it doesn’t go your way,” she said. “I think that’s what I would want it to be.”
Spoken like a true GOAT!
