Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour Outsold The Next Two Biggest Tours Of 2023 Combined

Published

It should come as no surprise to anyone who has been watching Taylor Swift throughout the past year–or who has even caught wind of her current efforts–that the singer’s The Eras Tour was the top-grossing concert venture of 2023. That fact is a given, but just how massive the trek was—especially when compared to every other option out there—is truly incredible.

Swift’s The Eras Tour simply couldn’t be touched when it comes to ticket grosses, as no other 2023 trek came even close. The pop and country singer’s concert venture was so massive, it outsold the next two highest-grossing tours in the world last year–combined.

According to numbers made public by Pollstar, one of the top media outlets covering the live music space, The Eras Tour raked in $1.039 billion in ticket sales throughout 2023. That makes it the first trek to hit the $1 billion mark in history. Impressively, Swift managed to do so with only the first half of her scheduled run.

The No. 2 highest-grossing tour of 2023 was Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour. That trek earned just under $580 million at the box office. Coming in behind that superstar is Bruce Springsteen. The legendary rocker and his E Street Band played to sold-out crowds throughout the year, bringing in just under $380 million in revenue.

The Nos. 2 and 3 bestselling tours in the world in 2023 collectively earned just under $960 million in ticket sales. That’s still at least $79 million beneath Swift’s $1 billion-plus figure.

Swift still has a long way to go before she finishes The Eras Tour. She returns to the road in February in Japan, kicking off her 2024 run of shows. The Grammy champion currently has dates scheduled into next December. Throughout this year, she’ll play to packed stadiums in Asia, Australia, more than a dozen countries in Europe, and she’ll even return to the U.S. for what appears to be a final swing. By the time The Eras Tour is all over, Swift may become the first artist to earn more than $2 billion in ticket revenue from one venture.
