Adam Sandler says he gets starstruck by Taylor Swift and compares her stardom to that of The Beatles
Adam Sandler’s been a celebrity for more than three decades, and even HE’S starstruck by Taylor Swift.
The 57-year-old actor opened up about how he interacts with other celebrities appearing on Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend on SiriusXM Wednesday.
O’Brien, 60, said that he is generally not starstruck by people who became famous in recent years.
‘What I have found is that people can be absolute icons, make the biggest stars in the world, but if they came along five years ago, I’m very happy to meet them, but they don’t have that effect on me,’ O’Brien said.
The talk show host added, ‘I’m not like, ‘Oh my, oh my God,’ you know, the way I would be from anybody that I saw’ who he grew up watching.’

Sandler, who is father to daughters Sadie, 17, and Sunny, 15, with wife Jackie, 49, said that the Grammy-winning artist, 34, made for an exception to the rule.
‘You know what – Taylor Swift,’ the Brooklyn, New York native told O’Brien. ‘Because what she means to my kids, I get it a little f***in’ jumpy. Just ’cause I don’t wanna blow it for my kids.’
The Spaceman star said that he gets a bit rattled around the pop superstar, who remains atop the apex of pop culture with a massive, loyal fanbase, and an insatiable interest from the public for both her work and personal life.
Sandler said, ‘I’m a little like “Taylor, Taylor,” like I talk a little too loud or something. I don’t stay as cool as I can.’
O’Brien said, ‘Yeah, I can see that. Yeah, she’s, I mean, she’s this whole other level now.’
Sandler said that Swift’s popularity was on par with the Beatlemania that spanned the globe in the 1960s.
‘People talk about The Beatles of it all and her,’ Sandler said. ‘I mean, man, so many smash hits,’
The Wedding Singer star said that ‘there’s not a word’ of her songs his daughters ‘don’t know.’

Sandler advertised a comedy show set for Thursday in Glendale, California on his social media
He and his daughters were at a show during Swift’s Eras Tour at SoFi Stadium last August.
Sandler also attended The Eras Tour: The Movie premiere in October at The Grove in Los Angeles.
