Angel Reese shared fiery two-word response to Simone Biles’ shading MyKayla Skinner
WNBA great Angel Reese has supported Simone Biles in her battle with ex-Team USA gymnastics Olympian MyKayla Skinner following the 27-year-old’s double-gold start in Paris. Angel Reese has reacted angrily to Simone Biles’ feud with her former Team USA Olympics gymnastics partner, MyKayla Skinner.
Skinner sparked controversy in a now-deleted podcast interview in which she criticized Team USA’s lineup before they won gold in the Women’s Team competition at the Paris Olympics. “Besides Simone, I feel like the talent and the depth just isn’t like what it used to be,” remarked the actress. “The girls just don’t have the work ethic.”
Biles and co. were quick to comment on social media, with several barely veiled jabs at Skinner, who won a silver medal in the Tokyo Games. “Lack of talent, lazy, Olympic champions,” six-time Olympic gold winner Biles said on Instagram, posing with Jordan Chiles, Hezly Rivera, Jade Carey, and Lee while carrying a USA flag.
“Put a finger down if Simone Biles just ended you,” Lee wrote in response to Biles’ post, using the hand emoji. Chiles, Biles and Lee’s Olympic teammate in Paris, also chimed in. “And that’s on period!!” she said.
Skinner then blocked Biles on social media. “When she blocks Simone,” Chiles explained. Biles responded on X with: “Oop, I’ve been blocked.” WNBA great Reese has already shared her thoughts on Biles’ rivalry with her ex-teammate Skinner. In a heated response to Biles’ Instagram insult, Reese wrote, “Clock it.”
Biles won her second gold medal of the Paris Games on Thursday, winning in the All-Around competition. The 27-year-old now has nine Olympic medals, including her sixth gold medal. Biles is widely regarded as one of, if not the best, female gymnasts of all time, and she wore the GOAT necklace to prove it. “This is a little ode…””A lot of people love it; they always call me the G.O.A.T,” she admits. “I “I thought it would be really special if I had one made.”
“The detractors despise it, but I love it even more. “It’s just a special part of me,” she explained. Biles returned to the sport last summer after a two-year absence, and she bravely revealed to media that she had been receiving weekly treatment sessions for the previous three years. “Three years ago, I never thought I’d step foot on the gymnastics floor again just because of everything that had happened,” she told reporters after winning the individual all-around medal. “But with the help of [my coach] Cecile [Landi], I returned to the gym and worked extremely hard, both mentally and physically.”
“I saw my therapist today at 7:00 a.m. And there’s a time difference, so she’s fantastic for letting me do it these few days here in Paris.”
