Breaking News: Taylor Swift is dragged into Blake Lively’s drama with It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni – as cruel trolls unfairly label the pair ‘mean girls’
Taylor Swift has been unwittingly dragged into Blake Lively’s It Ends With Us drama -with vicious trolls claiming the actress is using the singer for ‘clout.’
Online trolls have pointed out that Taylor is one of Lively’s closest pals and unfairly lumped her in with some of the Gossip Girl starlet’s behavior.
Lively is currently in a rumored feud with her It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni, and has also been slammed online over some press interviews she’s done – including an ‘uncomfortable’ 2016 interview that made the journalist ‘want to quit’ her job.
‘Blake Lively being a mean girl and everyone being shocked is so funny to me. She’s best friends with Taylor Swift…’ one wrote on X.
Another troll commented: ‘Blake Lively being best friends with Taylor Swift makes so much sense. I see Blake took some tips from Taylor using her “untouchable” fame and clout to try and make people turn on someone they view as competition. Too bad the public can see right through these things now.’
Somebody else on X claimed the pair were ‘both incredibly boring mediocre white women who receive far too much praise for doing the least.’
Swift has previously been accused of pulling shady tactics on the music charts to ‘sabotage’ some of her musical rivals.
While promoting It Ends With Us, Lively, 36, couldn’t help but gush over BFF Swift.
As she played a game of ‘Unpopular Opinion’ on the BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show, she fiercely defended Swift’s Eras Tour setlist, which consists of over 40 songs and runs for three and a half hours.
After a caller phoned in to share their controversial opinion that the pop star should not perform Love Story anymore, the mom-of-four hit back with a sarcastic remark.
‘Ooh that’s rough,’ Lively said. ‘You just hate happiness, or joy, or just your ears? You don’t like your ears?’
The caller replied: ‘I think it’s a really good song, but I just think another song from Fearless should thrive in the spotlight.’
‘I think it’s on there because it’s so well-known but I think a less-known one should have its time,’ the woman explained to Ryan Reynolds’ wife.
Lively responded that she ‘honestly’ just wished ‘the concert, was just like 47 hours long so that all the songs could be played at all times.’
The program’s host, Greg James, 38, then asked: ‘So all of the songs from beginning to end should be played?’
‘Yes,’ Lively insisted.
Over her career, Swift has written more than 67 tracks by herself, and 274 overall.
Since 2006, the 14-time Grammy winner has released 11 original studio albums, 4 re-recorded albums, 5 extended plays (EPs), and 4 live albums.
She is currently on her sixth concert tour, which is the highest-grossing music tour of all time.
Lively most recently attended the Eras Tour in Madrid back in May, alongside her husband and their eldest children James, eight, Inez, seven, and Betty, four.
A year prior, she took James and Inez to another Eras Tour show in May 2023.
Last month, Swift revealed that she is the godmother to Lively and Reynolds’ kids.
Swift, 34, Lively, and Reynolds have been close friends for years.
The Bad Blood hitmaker has even used the names of their daughters in her songs.
Her track, Betty, from 2020 album Folklore names James, Inez and Betty.
And her 2017 Reputation album features James’ voice on the song Gorgeous.
It Ends With Us has become one of the most talked about movies of the year – for all the wrong reasons.
The romantic drama, based on Colleen Hoover’s novel of the same name, follows Lily Bloom (played by Lively) as she becomes embroiled in an abusive relationship with Ryle Kincaid (Baldoni).
The movie is already a $93 million box office hit but has been plagued by rumors of on-set tensions, a feud between Lively and Baldoni, and a frosty press tour.
Lively and Baldoni both avoided each other at the New York premiere of the film, and various reports have come out that paint both stars in a negative light.
