Until a few years ago, Swift had stayed out of politics, even going so far as to say she was apolitical. However, since 2018, the singer has not hesitated to express her support for Democratic Party candidates at all levels.

This has earned her criticism from politicians and conservative figures, including former President Donald Trump, with whom she has an open feud. The two have exchanged bitter criticism, and neither hesitates to respond to the other’s attacks.
