Caitlin Clark’s impact on the WNBA was recently discussed by Kayla Nicole, Travis Kelce’s ex-girlfriend. Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs tight end, dated Kayla Nicole in an on-and-off relationship for about five years. The couple broke up for good in 2022 after Nicole gave Kelce an ultimatum to marry her. While Kelce is busy playing for the Chiefs and is currently dating pop singer Taylor Swift, Nicole is busy as a fashion influence.
Nicole also regularly discusses her views and opinions on the sports industry, as she did quite recently on Tuesday in the ‘I AM ATHLETE’ show. Nicole spoke extensively about Caitlin Clark and her rise to fame in the WNBA. In the previous season, Caitlin Clark played her rookie season with the league for the Indiana Fever, going on to win the ‘Rookie of the Year’ title.
Nicole’s comments on Clark are pretty much true with WNBA games seeing a major jump in viewership and ratings after she entered the league. Her team, the Indiana Fever, saw an average of 17,035 fans in home games last year all because of Caitlin Clark.
Meanwhile, Caitlin Clark’s boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, who coaches the Butler Bulldogs, could not help but wince after the team recently had their winning streak broken by the Xavier Musketeers. The Bulldogs were riding a three-game winning streak before playing against Xavier and losing with a final score of 76-63.
The Butler Bulldogs are ranked third-last in the Big East table with a 5-10 conference score and 12-14 overall. Next up, the Bulldogs will play the DePaul Blue Demons, who are one spot below them in the table.
