CNN Reporter Sends a Blunt Message to Taylor Swift Ahead of Chiefs-Bills Playoff Game

Ahead of the Chiefs-Bills playoff game on Sunday, Jan. 21, a CNN reporter has sent a blunt message to Taylor Swift.

CNN’s Senior Data Reporter Harry Enten recently spoke with Anderson Cooper about the Bills being favored to win over the Chiefs on Sunday. During their conversation, Enten referred to Travis Kelce’s team as the “Kansas City Swifts.” He also had a “harsh” message for the pop superstar.

“I will note the Bills have already beaten the Chiefs in Kansas City when Taylor Swift showed up,” Enten told Cooper. “So while I do enjoy Taylor Swift’s music, as I know you do—we’re both Swifties at heart—I’m hoping she’s probably crying at the end of Sunday because that’ll mean my Buffalo Bills have won.”

He added, “So this is the one time I am rooting against Taylor Swift. I am sorry, Swifties, I’ve got to do it.”

Cooper responded, “Wow, that’s kind of harsh,” before the men delved into the next segment.

As of writing, it isn’t clear whether Swift will attend the Chiefs-Bills playoff game. The “Cruel Summer” singer is currently on hiatus from her Eras Tour, which resumes shows on Feb. 7 in Tokyo. Swift has also cheered on Travis at six of his last seven games—so there’s a decent chance she’ll be at Highmark Stadium.

It looks like Swifties and Chiefs fans will have to wait and see whether the pop star makes her 11th NFL game appearance this season—and whether Enten’s prediction of a crying Swift at the end of the playoff game comes true.

Kickoff for the Chiefs-Bills playoff game is at 6:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, Jan. 21, at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, N.Y.
