Fans Have Outlandish Theory About Why Taylor Swift’s Chiefs Game Appearances Are So Public

Swifties have shared their two cents about the speculation.

A new theory spreading on social media has Taylor Swift fans wondering if the pop star might have motivations for attending NFL games that extend beyond supporting her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

Swift has attended several Chiefs games since last fall, when she and Kelce took their relationship public. She’s generated a lot of attention through her game-day appearances, with game coverage panning frequently to her stadium box to check in on her reactions.

Over the last several months, there has been speculation about what ties, if any, exist between Swift and the NFL (beyond Kelce). Now, TikTok user @adamj1138 has proposed another theory that has Swift fans talking.

The video, captioned, “The Dallas Swifties,” begins with the TikToker suggesting he is “the only one” who figured out a “major conspiracy theory.”

“For the past couple weeks, months, we’ve been seeing tons of pictures of Taylor Swift at NFL games for obvious reasons, and we always see her like this, in the box,” he says, gesturing to a photo showing Swift in a stadium box at a Chiefs game.

“She could sit anywhere,” he continues. “We all know her PR savviness. She could be hidden from sight and watch the game perfectly fine somewhere in the stadium, and we would never know she’s there.”

Instead, “She wants to be seen, because she’s trying to get it in our heads—that picture of her,” he says. “Because who else do we see like that? Who else?”

The TikToker then reveals his theory: “I think Taylor Swift is going to buy an NFL team and run it with her future husband, Travis Kelce.”

This may not happen in the next couple of years, the TikToker adds, “But it’s gonna happen. Which team? I’m not sure. But, just saying. She’s a billionaire, and she’s only gonna get more money in the coming years.”

More than 1,000 TikTok users have responded to the video to share their thoughts on the theory. Many said they think it could be right.

“Interesting theory – certainly possible,” one TikToker wrote.

“This would be wild and amazing,” said another, while one user joked that the “Dads, Brads, and Chads would lose their minds.”

Some TikTokers said the idea had already crossed their minds. “I have definitely thought this too!” one person wrote. Another suggested Swift would take over as the Chiefs’ owner if she eventually goes down this path.

Despite fan interest in the theory, Swift hasn’t publicly indicated any motive for attending the games beyond supporting Kelce and his team.

Clark Hunt is the Chiefs’ current owner and CEO. He recently addressed Swift’s relationship with Kelce during an interview with CNBC’s Mad Money, saying that he was “happy” for the couple.

“I’ve had a chance to meet her at one of the many games that she’s attended this year, and she’s just as sweet as she can be,” Hunt said.
