Who is Clark Hunt?
Clark was born into extreme wealth after his grandad struck gold in the East Texas Oil Boom in the 1930s.

Born and raised in Texas, Clark enjoyed playing soccer and captained his nationally-ranked team.

Clark graduated from university in 1987, where he earned a degree in business administration.

He was also a two-time Academic All-American.

After finishing his education, he worked as an investment banker for Goldman Sachs but later returned to Dallas to work with his father.

Clark’s father, Lamar Hunt, founded the Kansas City Chiefs in 1960.

In 2005 Clark was named chairman of the NFL team and inherited ownership following the death of his father a year later.

Clark has led the Chiefs to major success in recent years, having reached the playoff nine times.

Additionally, the Chiefs have won the AFC eight times consecutively and won the Super Bowl twice.

Clark reportedly has a net worth close to $2billion but, the Hunt family as a whole has an estimated net worth of around $20.5billion, making them one of the richest families in America, according to Forbes.

The Kansas City Chief’s value has risen rapidly in recent years.

Forbes valued the Chiefs at $3.7billion in 2022 compared to $2.5billion in 2020.

The chiefs have nearly doubled their value since 2016 as the club’s recent success elevates its worth.

How did Clark Hunt make his money?
When Clark’s grandad passed, the oil tycoon passed his wealth down to his 15 children.

The founder of the Chiefs, Lamar was one of them and Clark inherited the team from his father.

The family also own stakes in NFL, NBA and MLS sports teams as well as oil and gas companies around the world.

The Chiefs was the best investment the family ever made, according to Forbes.

With the club valued at $3.7billion including debt, it amounts to an astonishing 14,799,900 per cent lifetime return.

Is Clark Hunt married?
Clark married pageant queen, Tavia Shackles in 1993.

They met while she was interning with the Chiefs in college – owned by Lamar at the time.

Tavia is the former Miss Kansas and Miss Missouri teen pageant winner.

She told KSHB: “This nice guy came up named Clark and started talking to me, and we had a great conversation and had so much in common, we learned.

“He asked me if I’d like to have dinner sometime, and the rest is history.”

Tavia is also the director of the Chief’s Women’s Organisation.

Does Clark Hunt have any children?
The couple have three children – two daughters and a son.

One of their daughters, Gracie Hunt, followed in Tavia’s footsteps after gaining the Miss Kansas title, 28 years after her mother won the pageant.

Knobel Hunt, Clark and Tavia’s son plays on the same soccer university team as his father did.

It comes after reports that Chiefs star player Travis Kelce and his partner Taylor Swift have hit a rough patch in their relationship.
