Jennifer Aniston’s Ex-Husband, Justin Theroux, Reacted To Her Calling Out J.D. Vance Over His Remarks About “Childless Cat Ladies”
As I’m sure you know, Justin and Jennifer — who met in 2007 — tied the knot in 2015 and were married for nearly three years.
After announcing their split in 2018, Justin told the New York Times there was “no animosity” between himself and Jen, describing their breakup as “the most gentle separation.”
Since then, Jennifer and Justin have evidently remained on good terms, hanging out from time to time and mentioning each other in interviews. Notably, Justin told Esquire in 2021 that he and Jen “remained friends.”
Now, Justin has given another update on their relationship, telling the Times that Jen “is still very dear” to him.
He also commented on Jen’s recent criticism of Republican vice presidential nominee J.D. Vance over his resurfaced remarks about “childless cat ladies.”
For context, Vance said during a Fox News interview in 2021 that women without children are “childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they’ve made.”
When these comments resurfaced online in July, Jennifer — who’s talked openly in the past about her “challenging” fertility journey — was among those to speak out, writing on Instagram: “I truly can’t believe that this is coming from a potential VP of the United States.”
When asked about this, Justin was firmly in Jen’s corner, saying: “I feel protective. But she batted back criticism, as well she should.”
