The collaboration comes at a time as she works to expand her influence amid declining ratings for her family’s reality show. Reality TV star Kim Kardashian has been roped in by sportswear brand Nike for a mega deal amid concerns over her fading fortune

The 44-year-old is making all possible efforts to boost her own profile amid the major drop in the ratings for her reality show as well as her association with former husband and controversial rapper Kanye West, Radar Online claimed, quoting sources close to the reality TV star.

Kim is also feared to be burning through her fortune due to her lavish lifestyle. This is said to be a major concern for her since her earning power has gone down from what it used to be earlier.

A source close to the reality TV star has claimed that she is doing everything under the sun to make her brand work. The insider added that her association with Nike has “raised eyebrows” as both of them “need this link-up to work.”

The person went on to add that Kim needs to act “clever” since she understands that a single bad move could “spell disaster,” since she and her family’s brand do not have the same popularity as earlier.

“There’s a feeling the Kardashians have had their moment – they’ve peaked – and they’re heading in one direction: downwards,” Radar Online quoted the source as saying.

Kim announces Nike deal
In a post on Instagram last week, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star informed her 358 million followers on the social media platform that she has inked a deal with the sportswear brand.

“Introducing NikeSKIMS. A new brand coming this spring for the body obsessed. Designed to sculpt and engineered to perform,” she wrote.

As per the report, Kim’s announcement resulted in a 3 percent rise in Nike’s share price, adding that the company aims to attract more of youth, fashion-conscious females through its deal with Kardas

Kim Kardashian’s childhood friend passes away
The Nike deal comes after Kardashian lost her childhood friend Lindsay May following a battle with cancer. May served as the co-founder of Mayflower Entertainment and was responsible for major deals with several big names, such as Gucci, leaving a mark on the advertising industry.

Another source told Radar Online that Kardashian faced a tough time after her friend’s demise as she had known May since her childhood in Beverly Hills.
