News: Travis Kelce’s Retirement Decision for more story

Published

It appears that Travis Kelce has already made up his mind about his future with the Kansas City Chiefs. While the three-time Super Bowl champ has yet to announce his official decision on whether or not he will retire, it seems that it is now a matter of when rather than if.

His brother Jason Kelce recently said that deep down, the Chiefs star “already knows what he wants to do.” On Tuesday, Chiefs general manager Brett Veach revealed that the belief within the team is that Kelce will be back for next season.

At the same time, however, Kelce’s decision appears to have a major caveat. According to a new report by Daily Mail, 2025 is very likely going to be Kelce’s swansong.

There is a high likelihood that this will be his last year in the NFL and he will not sign a new contract,” Daily Mail’s source revealed.

The report did confirm that the 10-time Pro Bowler has, indeed, decided to play on, and that an announcement from Kelce and the Chiefs is imminent. The sad twist, however, is that it does not seem like Kelce is going to be putting pen to paper on a contract extension.

“The only thing not confirmed is if he will mention that this would be his last year or not,” adds Daily Mail’s source. “But he is looking forward to playing.”

Based on this new report, Kelce will be back next season. At the same time, however, it seems like he’s also made up his mind on that being his final playing year in the NFL.
