Sofia Vergara sheds light on life after Joe Manganiello divorce

Sofía Vergara, the charismatic Modern Family star, recently shared insights into her public divorce from Joe Manganiello.

In a candid interview for CBS Sunday Mornings, the 51-year-old actress acknowledged the inevitability of personal matters making headlines, stating, “you can’t hide those things.”

Despite the public scrutiny, Vergara expressed her surprise at the respectful treatment by the media, emphasizing, “the press was very respectful and very nice…I’ve been moving on. You’re out there and people know that’s part of being a celebrity. I knew it was gonna happen. You can’t hide those things.”

Addressing how she navigated the challenges of public scrutiny, Vergara credited the media’s responsible coverage.

She noted, “It wasn’t bad,” and shared her expectations of more speculation, stating, “I thought that they were gonna invent more things, and you know how it usually is.”

The actress appreciated the straightforward reporting, stating, “they kind of just said what it was, and that was it.”

Last summer, Vergara and Manganiello announced their decision to divorce through a joint statement, requesting privacy during this transformative phase.

Manganiello filed for divorce two days later, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

Despite the challenges, Vergara shared her outlook with ET in September 2023, describing the year as “interesting” and filled with “good and craziness and bad things happen and good things happen.”

She emphasized her positive attitude, stating, “I can’t complain. I’ve had a great, great time.”

Both Vergara and Manganiello have moved forward with their lives.

Vergara was spotted with Dr. Justin Saliman last fall, although she hasn’t publicly addressed the relationship.

A source shared with ET that things were “going great” between them, highlighting Vergara’s commitment to keeping her personal life private.

Manganiello, on the other hand, has been romantically linked with actress Caitlin O’Connor.
