This time of year is a crazy one, even with the NFL and the Kansas City Chiefs not in season. However, Chiefs fans still have a lot to cheer for, especially because of the other sports in the area, especially the teams Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are part owners of.

They own several sports teams and franchises, including the Kansas City Royals and the KC Current. They likely have part ownership of any professional sport in Kansas City. Besides the team they play for, all of their teams did something this week.

So, it would be intriguing to delve into the week they all had, especially since it’s currently the offseason. The anticipation is high as we await the review of their performances.

BWT Alpine F1
This may not be known as much as the other sports teams and franchises in which the two have ownership, but it was one of, if not the biggest one of the week. The Miami Grand Prix in Formula One, a highly prestigious event in the racing world, was this weekend, and while Alpine did not win the race or the Sprint race, they did have their best weekend this season, a significant achievement in the highly competitive world of F1.

To start, I should probably explain this a bit. F1 is a racing sport, and it’s considered the highest form of racing globally. It’s the fastest car on some of the toughest circuits. It’s also a motorsport where you have to be in the best physical shape because of the G Forces your body endures. These cars go up to 230 miles per hour and stop on a dime. In F1, drivers compete in a series of races, including a sprint race and a main race, each with its own challenges, making it a highly demanding and competitive sport.
Last year, Kelce and Mahomes bought into Alpine’s ownership group, the only French team on the grid. They have a large ownership group of celebrities and have become a popular team over the years. Alpine is considered a “middle of the pack” squad with both drivers. They showed just that during the sprint and the headlining races on Saturday and Sunday.

Estaban Ocon, one of the two drivers, finished the sprint race on Saturday in 15th place, which was not a great showing. But his teammate, Pierre Gasly, finished 10th in the sprint race, which is good considering there are 20 drivers, and he started in the back of the grid. For the main race, Gasly finished 12th, which was a fine race. Ocon finished 10th and is in a position to secure a point. Both Kelce and Mahomes were there to witness what was really a good weekend of Alpine.
