CELEBRITY
Taylor Swift and her main ‘enemy’ looking to stop her from being at the Super Bowl
It may not be straightforward
Taylor Swift could be forgiven for feeling confident that she will be able to watch her boyfriend Travis Kelce at the Super Bowl in February, but she still has one obstacle to overcome.
The singer, 34, has been present at almost every game since she began dating Kelce in September, cheering on her new beau from the stands while she takes time off from her global Eras Tour.
Bills fans vile gesture toward Taylor Swift that Swifties say crossed the line
Swift was in the suite at Bills Stadium on Sunday night with his family to support the tight end in their divisional playoff against the Buffalo Bills, with brother Jason and his wife Kylie joined by parents Donna and Ed.
And it proved to be a night of celebration for the Kelces and their extended party as Travis scored two touchdowns courtesy of Patrick Mahomes to help the Chiefs win 27-24 in a close-fought encounter.
The Cruel Summer sensation was spotted high-fiving other guests in the suite while Jason, 36, took off his shirt and chugged beer in the suite as he kicked off the post-game party.
However, their celebrations may be short-lived considering that they still need to beat the Baltimore Ravens in the NFL Conference Championship game on January 28.
Lamar Jackson lays down a marker
Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is the obvious threat to their hopes of making the Super Bowl and he proved it in their resounding 34-14 victory against the Houston Texans on Sunday.
He threw two passing touchdowns for Nelson Agholor and Isiah Likely to score, in addition to rushing for 100 yards and adding two more touchdowns himself for the Ravens as they blew away their opponents.
It is his versatility that has made Jackson one of the most lethal quarterbacks in the NFL this season, perhaps along with Buffalo Bills star Josh Allen. The most effective type of QB in the modern day NFL is the hybrid: one who can rush just as they well as they can pass to give more options on the drive.
Stopping Jackson will be crucial to the Chiefs’ chances, and more importantly for Swift, giving her a chance to attend the Super Bowl to watch her man in action.
