Taylor Swift at Chiefs vs. Bills playoff game, blows kiss after being booed by Buffalo fans
Taylor Swift, meet Bills Mafia. Two of the most loyal fan bases collide. It’s a NFL playoffs “Love Story.”
It’s really happening. Taylor Swift is in Buffalo. (Somewhere she hasn’t been on tour since 2011.)
The pop icon walked into Highmark Stadium and will watch the Bills take on the Kansas City Chiefs in the Divisional Round on Sunday.
Swift exited a white Chevrolet Suburban with California license plates about 5 p.m. Dozens of fans gathered in the snow to catch a glimpse of the star. She was joined by Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany Mahomes.
She smiled after receiving some boos, “Go Bills” and “Bills by a billion” yells, and a couple cheers from the fans. Swift wore dark jeans, a white and red jacket and red beanie. She waved to fans and then blew a kiss to the group before walking into the west end zone suite entrance.
Swift landed in her private jet about 4 p.m. at Buffalo Niagara International Airport. There were several SUVs and a police escort waiting for her. Travis Kelce’s brother, Pro Bowl center Jason Kelce, arrived in Buffalo earlier Sunday with his wife, Kylie, and his parents, Donna and Ed Kelce.
Swift has been a mainstay at Chiefs down the stretch of the regular season and playoffs. She has attended six of the last seven Kansas City games, including the Chiefs’ 26-7 victory over the Miami Dolphins in the wild-card round. It was the fourth-coldest game in NFL history, minus 4 degrees with a -27 wind chill at kickoff.
It’s her second Bills vs. Chiefs game this year. Buffalo went into GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in Week 14 and won, 20-17. The Bills haven’t lost since.
