Taylor Swift endorses Kamala Harris after Trump’s distasteful pets comment

Published

on

Trump stated that immigrants who are coming to America are “eating their pets’. He quickly tried to fix his comments by stating that he saw this on television. To those who are aware, popstar Taylor Swift is not a Donald Trump supporter. In fact, there has been an ongoing back and forth between the two that today took another turn right after the debate. Taylor Swift endorsed vicepresident Kamala Harris but she did so by using a picture of her with the same cat who share the TIME magazine cover with her: Mr. Benjamin Button.

In a long Instagram post, Taylor Swift posted a picture of her with her famous cat and talked about the AI version of herself falsely endorsing the former president, She goes on to explain her reasoning behind the decision to vote for vicepresident Kamala Harris. Namely her unwavering support for minorities who are currently undergoing constant harassment and discrimination throughout the country. That’s the main reason for Taylor Swift’s full endorsement. But she didn’t tell people to vote for Kamala, she asked for everyone to do their own research and felt hopeful that people will make the same decision.

This is only part of what she wrote in the post below and also took a dig at Trump’s confusing comments about immigrants eating their pets. A perfectly timed endorsement that goes like this: “I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election. I’m voting for Kamala Harris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos. I was so heartened and impressed by her selection of running mate Tim Waltz, who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades.
