Taylor Swift’s groundbreaking The Eras Tour is currently in its Australia leg. During her concert in Melbourne, the pop sensation surprised fans when she revealed that she’s ready to break this one rule, and for all the good reasons. Scroll ahead to learn more.

Taylor Swift is ready to break her own rules
Swift’s career-spanning Eras tour just got a new update. During her latest Melbourne concert, the ‘Midnight’ singer announced that she’s decided to tweak her own rules. Addressing the massive crowd at Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday, Swift declared that going forward, she will no longer refrain from performing any surprise acoustic songs more than once. ‘That was to challenge me to get to all the ones that I just don’t naturally gravitate towards, and I feel really proud about having done that,’ Swift said.

The ‘Folklore’ hitmaker continued, ‘But this is sort of a public service announcement to everyone who might be anywhere else on the tour, or whatever, or watching this,’ adding, ‘We have a lot of people; we’re very lucky to have a lot of people watch this on the internet and care about these shows if they’re not here.’

‘I don’t want to limit anything’
‘Miss Americana’ is making sure her fans have the best time in the world on her tour, which stretches for almost three-and-a-half hours per show as she takes fans through her journey, including songs from her entire career.

‘I’ve just been kind of rethinking, and I’ve been thinking I want to be as creative as possible with the acoustic set moving forward, and I don’t want to limit anything or say, ‘If I played this song, I can’t play it again,’ Swift revealed.

‘I want to be able to play songs more than once if I feel like it, and I want to be able to make changes to songs. Does that sound OK?’ Swift concluded.

Following the announcement, the entire crowd broke into happy dancing, welcoming Swift’s new move to not keep any ‘tool out of the toolbox’
