The thing is, PDA is one of the main reasons why Swift’s relationship with Travis Kelce is so different from her previous romances. Some though are doubting whether these public hugs and kisses, so something Swift would not engage in the past, are just an act.

Relationship experts naturally felt the need to weigh in.

Swift hardly ever held hands in public with her lovers before Kelce, much less made out in stadiums. However, in a span of few weeks, fans have grown to love Kelce and Swift for sharing all the cute moments, smooches, and goofy TikToks with them.

Still, some are concerned about Swift’s abrupt 180-degree turn towards public displays of affection (and touchiness!). Dating gurus can help with this confusion.

Several dating specialists were consulted by DailyMail in a recent piece regarding the authenticity of this PDA against its showiness.

Megan Weks, a dating consultant based in New York, addressed the rumors that Swift is overcompensating, if not portraying a character – one of a woman who clings to her BF like there’s no tomorrow.

Weks told the site that Swift and Kelce’s PDA shows how “comfortable” they are with one other. “Taylor is definitely not overcompensating by being public with Travis. What she’s doing is being herself, something which felt stunted in previous relationships,” Weks said.

“She’s never felt so supported and liberated to be exactly who she is within a relationship, and it shows,” she added.

VIP matchmaker Thalia Ouimet concurred with Weks that Swift seemed more “secure” than ever and that they aren’t doing it to flaunt their status.

“As a matchmaker and dating coach, I see this relationship being so public because Taylor is confident in her relationship and Travis makes her feel secure. She isn’t at all showing off, in fact she just [seems] in love. We all know that feeling of thinking we found ‘the one’ and wanting to share it with the world,” she said.

Now that dating specialists assert that the PDA is anything but a charade, despite the opinions of many doubters who think it is, maybe the world can leave the two to hug and kiss in peace.
