Taylor Swift wears necklace to Super Bowl that pays tribute to Travis Kelce

While there may have been some doubt as to whether she would make an appearance, Taylor Swift has arrived to the Super Bowl in style.

Super Bowl LVIII sees the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers go head-to-head at Nevada’s Allegiant Stadium.

However, heading into the main event on Sunday (February 11), a lot of the attention has been focused on Swift, Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce’s partner.

With her current Eras Tour in full swing, many questioned whether the ‘Blank Space’ singer would find time in her hectic schedule to see her beau play.

But of course she was going to make it!

Swift has arrived at Super Bowl with Ice Spice and Blake Lively, something fans are dubbing as ‘iconic’.

And for the big game, Swift wore black jeans, along with a black bustier top, wearing her signature red lipstick, and a red jacket over her shoulder – all of which is an obvious nod to Kelce’s Chiefs’ red uniforms.

While that is all a nice touch, many fans have noticed Swift’s accessories have a deeper meaning.

In particular, Swift wore a necklace with the number ’87’, which is of course Kelce’s team number.

As per PageSix, the custom Stephanie Gottlieb necklace is worth a whopping $4,250.

While Swift and Travis Kelce’s romance has been in the public eye for a while now, some questions remain on how exactly their relationship began.

Thankfully, the NFL star did provide some answers last year.

It turns out that Kelce’s entry into Swift’s inner circle came when she performed at Kelce’s home stadium at Arrowhead in Kansas City.

“She’ll probably hate me for saying this, but… when she came to Arrowhead, they gave her the big locker room as a dressing room, and her little cousins were taking pictures… in front of my locker,” Kelce told WSJ Magazine.

But then things warmed up when Kelce received a text from none other than Swift herself.

The pair subsequently met up, including one trip in New York.

He said: “When I met her in New York we had already kind of been talking, so I knew we could have a nice dinner and, like, a conversation, and what goes from there will go from there.”

Needless to say, when the pair started dating, people frequently reminded Kelce of his good fortune.

Kelce added: “Everybody around me telling me: Don’t f**k this up! And me sitting here saying: Yeah – got it.”

Yesterday (January 28) the Chiefs went head-to-head with the Baltimore Ravens for a spot at the 2024 Super Bowl and came off the pitch victorious.

And as Kelce came away from the game with a 17-10 win, he was greeted by Taylor Swift – a moment which has since been widespread online.

All I can say is if Kelce thought the NFL were previously ‘overdoing it’ with showing his new girlfriend supporting him at his Kansas City Chiefs games, wait until he sees this.

Swift started going to Kelce’s games last year, first hitting headlines for doing so in September when photographed alongside Kelce’s mom, Donna.

Cameras regularly cut towards Swift and and Kelce’s mom during the game and it caused quite the stir among football fans, some complaining the focus on the pop star was taking away from what really mattered – the sport.

However, Kelce argued on his New Heights podcast it actually ‘brings a little more to the atmosphere’ – despite acknowledging it was being ‘overdone a little bit for sure’.

And the atmosphere’s certainly heated up yet another notch since the Chief’s most recent game.

Swift watched Kelce’s game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Footage of the couple has been widespread on social media showing the pair kissing as well as their conversation post Kelce’s win.

In one video, the couple kiss and embrace, before kissing again and Kelce then goes to hug his dad Ed. After a bit of chatter and Kelce popping on a hat, he embraces Swift again, she points at something and then they gaze into each other’s eyes.

In another video of the same moment but from a different – and closer – angle, Kelce can be seen exclaiming to Swift something along the lines of: “How about that?” or “Not bad huh?”

After hugging his dad, Kelce then turns back to Swift to say: “What’s up sweetie?” And Swift’s pointing is revealed to be the singer showing Kelce where she was sat when watching him.

At the end of the clip, Swift can be seen saying something as she puts her head against Kelce’s chest and fans of the duo have been flooding to social media in excitement.

One user said: “Does Taylor say ‘I love you’ at the end?”

“I think so!!” another responded.

A third wrote: “How many times have you watched this?…………. yes.”

And a fourth commented: “Have I stopped… no.”

And of course, the NFL couldn’t resist uploading its own video of the pair to social media too.

While the audio is cut out, it looks like Swift also says: “I can’t believe you did that,” during the pair’s post-match conversation.

And another video, taken before the pair unite, shows Swift saying: “I’ve never seen anything like that in my life.”

With the Super Bowl fast approaching, people are starting to place bets on the score, the winner… and apparently even what Taylor Swift will be getting up to.

This time last year, a sentence like ‘Super Bowl fans will be using the game as a chance to make money off Taylor Swift and Joe Biden’ would have sounded like something straight from a game of Mad Libs.

Fast forward to 2024, and while still baffling, it does actually line up.

Swift is currently in Tokyo kicking off the next leg of her epic Eras Tour, but in just a few days her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, will be attempting to lead his Kansas City Chiefs to victory in Las Vegas.

It’s not yet clear whether Swift will make it back for the game, but gambling websites are giving customers the chance to make all sorts of predictions about what will happen if she does.

As well as taking bets on whether Swift will be in Vegas to support Kelce, websites are asking customers to bet on how many times the singer will be shown on camera during the game, and even what shade of lipstick she would be wearing.

Whatever color she goes for, it might end up on Kelce’s face if another of the bets comes true – whether or not the tight end will propose after the game.

Customers can take things a step further by betting on whether Kelce and Swift will use the game to announce that they’re having a baby together.

Websites have even speculated that Swift will endorse the reelection of Joe Biden at the Super Bowl, thanks to a theory circulating through some Republican camps.

This has baffled people online, with many responding to news of the bets on X.

“Well that’s weird,” one post read, while another response said: “There’s still time to delete this.”

Speaking to Reuters, Tim Williams, director of PR at BetUS, said: “The volume of bets on Taylor Swift props might – for at least this year – give the halftime show a literal run for its money in terms of betting volume.”

Though some of the bets about Swift are pretty far-reaching, she isn’t the only non-football-playing person Super Bowl fans could make money off on Sunday.

Some websites are also offering the chance to bet on whether Donald Trump or Biden will be in attendance at the game, or whether Usher will mention Biden during his halftime show performance.

With so many different outcomes possible, it will be interesting to see where the money goes!

Taylor Swift stood up for herself in front of Baltimore Ravens fans as they heckled her and accused her of ‘ruining the NFL’.

Swift faced the fans as she attended her boyfriend Travis Kelce’s latest AFC Championship Game against the Ravens on Sunday (28 January) to see who would make it to the Super Bowl final.

In footage filmed in the hallways of M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, the ‘Shake It Off’ singer was spotted walking alongside Brittany Mahomes, wife of fellow Chiefs player Patrick Mahomes.

Dressed in Kansas City Chiefs-themed jewelry to show her support for Kelce, Swift waved at the few fans who showed their support and called out their love for her as she passed.

Not everyone was so welcoming though, and in footage shared online one fan could be heard criticizing Swift as they called out to her that she had ‘ruined the NFL’.

Others accused Swift – who has already received plenty of backlash – of ‘ruining football’, while one even reportedly dropped the f-bomb as they told Swift: “F**k you.”

Swift has made regular appearances at Chiefs games in recent months as she’s attempted to show her support for Kelce, but though her presence at the game really shouldn’t have any more impact than any other fan, longtime football enthusiasts have taken issue with the airtime she’s being given.

It’s worth pointing out that Swift probably hasn’t asked to be on camera while at the games, given that she’s successful enough in her own career, and she likely doesn’t even know when she’s being broadcast on TV.

With that in mind, Swift stuck up for herself when she was heckled in Baltimore.

In response to the critical fans, the singer said: “I didn’t do anything.”

Though Swift hasn’t actively done anything to ‘ruin’ the NFL, it was her own actions that gained her further attention on Sunday as the Chiefs took the win with a score of 17-10.

After the game came to an end, Swift rushed onto the field to celebrate with Kelce, who she hugged and kissed in front of the cameras.

“I’ve never see you like that. That was insane. I can’t believe it,” Swift told the Chiefs tight-end.

“I love you,” she added.

Following the Chief’s win against Baltimore, they’re set to face the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl final on 11 February.

It’s currently unclear whether Swift will be in attendance at the final, which takes place just one day after she concludes a series of gigs in Tokyo, Japan.

Now, the NFL star has made another touching nod to his other half as he flashed Swift’s signature heart sign to the crowd after catching a wide open pass to give his team the lead in the second quarter.

Kelce then followed that up by blowing a kiss in the apparent direction of Swift, who was in the VIP suite at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York.

Swift was evidentially delighted with the touchdown as she celebrated alongside Kelce’s family, including his brother, Jason, and sister-in-law, Kylie Kelce.

Cameras also caught the ‘Shake It Off’ singer hugging friends in the box after her man scored his first touchdown in eight games.

Swift was also joined by pals Brittany Mahomes and Cara Delevingne for the big game.
