When Giving His Take On The Pop Star’s Historic Grammy Win, The Kansas City Chiefs Tight End Says He Told His Girlfriend He Would ‘Bring Home Some Hardware, Too.’

AceShowbiz – Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have just set an example of a healthy relationship. While the singer/songwriter has shown support for her beau at Kansas City Chiefs games, the athlete has now revealed how her recent Grammy win motivates him to win a trophy ahead of the Super Bowl LVIII.

On Monday, February 5, the tight end joined his teammates for Super Bowl media night. When fielding questions from reporters, he was asked about Taylor, who won her 13th and 14th Grammys on Sunday, including a historic fourth Album of the Year award.

“She’s unbelievable. She’s rewriting the history books,” Travis responded, before revealing what he promised her, “I told her I need to hold up my end of the bargain and bring home some hardware, too.”

The 34-year-old went on gushing over the “Anti-Hero” hitmaker, “Taylor has an unbelievable fan base that follows her and supports her throughout her life, and it’s been fun to gather the Swifties and Chiefs Kingdom and open them up to the football world and the sports world.”

Travis and his teammates will face the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, February 11 in Las Vegas. Taylor is expected to attend the game in support of her boyfriend, though it means she will have to take a “brutal flight” from Tokyo, Japan, where she will have a concert the night before. “It’s a brutal flight,” a source told Page Six of the 13-hour trek, “but she’ll get on her plane right after the concert.”

Meanwhile, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has addressed theory that he set up the Chiefs’ face off with the 49ers at the Super Bowl for Taylor sideshow. “I don’t think I’m that good a scripter, or anybody on our staff. Listen, there’s no way I could have scripted that one. Let’s just put it that way,” he said in his annual pre-Super Bowl news conference on Monday.

The 64-year-old insisted that he did not play a hand in securing Chiefs victories to book a ticket to the final so the sideshow of Taylor and Travis could continue through the major showdown of the season. “I think the idea that this was a script, that this was pre-planned, that’s nonsense,” he said. “It’s frankly not even worth talking about. We see two people together having fun together. That’s wonderful. I wish them well. They’re both wonderful people.”
