The Princess of Wales Leads Tributes at the 2025 National Service of Remembrance
The Princess of Wales appeared sombre in an elegant black ensemble as she joined senior members of the Royal Family at the 2025 National Service of Remembrance, held at The Cenotaph in London. Standing alongside the Prince of Wales, King Charles III, and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, the Princess paid tribute to the nation’s fallen heroes in a ceremony marked by reflection and dignity.
The annual service, which honours members of the armed forces who have lost their lives in service to the country, drew thousands to Whitehall on Sunday morning. As Big Ben struck eleven, a two-minute silence was observed across the capital, followed by the traditional wreath-laying ceremony.
The Princess of Wales, known for her poise and grace at state occasions, watched solemnly from the balcony of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, dressed in a tailored black coat, matching hat, and poppy pin—a symbol of remembrance.
King Charles led the tributes, laying the first wreath on behalf of the nation, followed by the Prince of Wales and other senior royals. The poignant ceremony served as a reminder of unity and gratitude, as the United Kingdom paused to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
