Travis, Jason Kelce Announce Disappointing ‘New Heights’ News

Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs finished their campaign on a bitter note, losing 40-22 to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 59. With his season over, Kelce has more time to devote to the “New Heights” podcast he runs with his brother Jason, but that project will have to wait. After releasing an episode a couple of days after the Super Bowl last week, the brothers announced on X/Twitter Wednesday there is no new episode this week.
We know Travis Kelce is trying to enjoy some downtime with girlfriend Taylor Swift. The two are said to be spending time together in Kansas City now before going on a vacation later in the offseason.
“There’s no way to have a relationship when they’re all over the place with work,” an insider told Us Weekly. “It’s going to be easier now to find time to go over plans and make sure everything aligns.”
Additionally, Travis has only three more weeks until he has to notify the Chiefs of his plan for next season.
The 35-year-old tight end is still deciding whether or not he wants to play in 2025.
“I know everybody wants to know whether I am playing next year and right now I am just kicking everything down the road. I am kicking every can I can down the road,” Kelce said. “I am not making any crazy decisions, but right now the biggest thing is just being there for my teammates and being there for my coaches understanding there’s a lot that goes into this thing. I’ve been fortunate over the past five, six years, I’ve played more football than anybody.
“The fact that we keep going to these AFC Championships and Super Bowls, that means I’m playing an extra three games more than everybody else in the entire league. That’s a lot of wear and tear on your body. It’s a lot of time in the building. That process can be grueling. It can weigh on you. It can make you better and it can drive you crazy. Right now, it was one of those things where it was driving me crazy this year. It happens as you tail off towards the back nine of your career.”
The Chiefs have given Kelce until March 14 to notify them of his decision. He is due an $11.5 million roster bonus on March 15.
