On the latest episode of “New Heights” with his brother and Eagles legend Jason Kelce, Travis detailed exactly what he has done to move past that.
“I listen to music that is very telling of my mood, yes,” Kelce said. “I just listened to (Taylor Swift’s) music, she has something for everything … The Eagles broke my heart.”
Kelce caught just four passes for 39 yards during the Super Bowl – breaking Jerry Rice’s all-time receptions in the Big Game that has stood for over two decades. The issue is the multiple drops the veteran suffered in the game as well, though.
Kelce wasn’t at his best and the rest of the Chiefs weren’t either in the loss.
And it even left his brother conflicted on what he truly wanted to see.
On one hand, you played your entire life with an organization and team,” said Jason. “A lot of people in that building — coaches, friends, teammates that you’ve gone through adversity with — and it really makes you very, very close. And then on the other hand, you have your brother, and I’ve always supported you. I’ve always wanted you to win.
It felt like I couldn’t be right. Felt like no matter what I said, some people were gonna skew it and say that I’m rooting for the Eagles, and some people were gonna skew it and say that I was rooting for the Chiefs or Travis. And it sucks.”
Both Kelce brothers appear a bit disgruntled over the events of the recent Super Bowl.
Perhaps some more Taylor Swift music could cheer them up.
