The Kelce family has been spending a lot of time with Taylor, especially at football games supporting Travis, and they had nothing but good things to say about the pop star. Particularly Ed Kelce, Travis’ dad, was pleasantly surprised by Taylor Swift’s humility and kindness, and is glad to see his son so happy.

Because of this, he’s quick to defend the musician whenever anyone says anything mean about her relationship with Travis. As swifties probably know, Bethenny Frankel had some things to say about Taylor and Travis, and Ed Kelce jumped to their defense.

If there was any doubt that the Kelce family was supportive of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship, Ed Kelce just cleared it up.

Recently, Bethenny Frankel from Real Housewives of New York shared her opinion on Taylor and Travis’ relationship, predicting that they were not going to last. The way she said it, though, seemed pretty malicious, and Travis’ dad did not appreciate it.

“When you get into real life and you get into kids and marriage and things like that — it’s not easy. Relationships take work,” Bethenny Frankel said. “And it’s hard, because Taylor Swift is certainly a peacock. So there really, usually, can only be one peacock in a relationship.”

The implication there is, of course, that the pop star wouldn’t want to share the spotlight and that would eventually break them apart, but the fact remains that someone who doesn’t really know the couple can’t actually know what goes on between them.

Ed Kelce was pretty annoyed by the comments, and immediately stood up for Taylor. In response to the video where she said that, he replied “Who TF is this troll?”, and fans praised him for defending both Travis and his relationship.

“Travis is fine with Taylor giving him her thoughts and opinions on how to navigate such a public relationship. He really does appreciate it,” a source said. “He’s not so happy with some of the restrictions she wants in place, though.”

The rules reportedly include not going to strip clubs and such, which Travis is completely fine with, and also not taking pictures with female fans, which he allegedly finds unreasonable. This rule apparently has nothing to do with jealousy and everything to do with avoiding speculative headlines.

What these alleged rules would demonstrate is that the need for extreme care over every decision can be just as intense as any other problem in a relationship.
