King Charles Reveals Cancer Diagnosis After Five-Year Battle
In a heartfelt revelation, King Charles III has disclosed that he has been battling cancer for the past five years. The 76-year-old monarch, who ascended the throne in 2022, shared his journey during a recent public appearance at the Royal Maundy service at Durham Cathedral on April 17, 2025. Despite his ongoing treatment, he appeared in good spirits, engaging with well-wishers and humorously noting his recovery by saying, “it’s all mirrors” .
The King’s cancer was initially detected during a procedure for benign prostate enlargement in early 2024. Subsequent tests revealed a separate, undisclosed form of cancer.
