The only thing more exciting than the game being played on the field is the talk of who’s in the stands. Taylor Swift? Simone Biles? The possibilities are endless it seems, as wives and girlfriends have more traction than the players themselves it seems.

Whether they’ve brought good or bad luck is up for debate, but there’s no doubt these women have changed the game off the field. The same is true for the Bills and quarterback Josh Allen, who’s hoping to turn a rocky start of a season into a deep playoff run.

Supporting him in the background is his girlfriend, who’s still new to the world of football.

Who is Josh Allen’s girlfriend?
Allen and Hailee Steinfeld may keep their personal lives private, but they’ve confirmed their relationship since first being spotted together in May.

Steinfeld is an actress and singer, and she made her movie debut at 13 when she starred in True Grit. She earned her first Oscar nomination for the film. Since then, she’s also starred in The Edge of Seventeen, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-verse, Hawkeye, Pitch Perfect 2, Pitch Perfect 3, and Dickinson.

In 2015, she collaborated with Shawn Mendes before releasing her debut single. Her first album, Haiz, was released that November. Her main focus has been on acting, however, as she has only produced one other album. Half Written Story dropped in May 2020.

Allen and Steinfeld’s relationship has mostly been away from the public eye, but they’ve still made a few appearances together over the months.

May 2023: Just one month after Allen split with his longtime girlfriend Brittany Williams, the Bills QB is spotted with Steinfeld at a restaurant in New York City.

July 2023: The relationship is confirmed when the two were caught together in Mexico during July 4th weekend. Allen also appeared on an episode of “Bussin’ With The Boys” where his dating status is brought up. The hosts, Will Compton and Taylor Lewan, mention the rumors of Allen and an actress. “No comment,” he replied.

August 2023: For the first time, Allen comments on his relationship with Steinfeld. He guests on the podcast “Pardon My Take” and speaks about the paparazzi in Mexico. “The fact that anybody cares about that still blows my mind,” he said. “I just, like, felt this gross feeling. Insecurity. No privacy. I was like, ‘What is wrong with people?’”

September 2023: Steinfeld shops with Allen’s mother at a boutique in Buffalo ahead of a Bills game. The shop’s owner snaps a picture with the local legends.

October 2023: The actress travels to London for the Bills-Jaguars game on Oct. 8. She sits next to driver Daniel Ricciardo, one of Allen’s close friends. While he appears on the big screen as a celebrity guest, Steinfeld remains more lowkey next to him. On Oct. 12, Steinfeld and Allen head to a Sabres game, sitting in a suite up top.

January 2024: Steinfeld walks the carpet at the Golden Globes. She asked about a ring on her finger, hinting at a potential engagement, but the actress quickly shuts it down. “I do got a cute little doe happening,” she tells E! News. “No particular reason other than I just thought it was real cute.” When asked what it’s like dating an athlete, the actress responds, “Listen, what isn’t it about? Come on now.”

The awards show was held the same night the Bills played across the country in Miami. When asked how she felt about the game, which would determine playoff seeding, she gave a thumbs up. Though she wasn’t too happy with the jersey the reporter was holding. “Wrong number though,” Steinfeld points out in response to the Stefon Diggs jersey.
