Bridesmaid tells best friend on radio she’s skipping part of her wedding to go to Taylor Swift concert

An Australian bridesmaid tells her best friend she plans to skip part of the wedding to attend Taylor Swift’s “Eras” Tour.

on fox Fifi, Fav, and Nick On the morning show on January 22, the bridesmaid named Olivia confessed her true plans to cause disruption during a segment of the “Eras” tour. She told the hosts that she managed to score highly coveted tickets to the “Cruel Summer” singer’s February 17 Melbourne show, which unfortunately, happened to be the same night as her best friend’s wedding.

“I know how angry she’s going to be,” Olivia explained to the hosts, according to a recording of the conversation. Things took a turn when the host brought the bride, named Jessie, on air so Olivia could admit she had double-booked the evening. “I didn’t tell you I got tickets for Saturday, and it was done before Christmas,” Olivia admitted to Jesse, adding that she hoped they could find a “compromise.”

She suggested she would attend the wedding during the day, leave a little earlier for the concert and “hopefully” return later for the reception. Jessie was not impressed and replied: “Is this a prank? Are you kidding?”

Olivia replied that she was serious, and also said that she felt “really bad”. She tried to defend herself by saying that she has been a Swiftie “for so long”, noting that it was hard to get tickets, which usually sell out almost instantly.

“You’ve known this since before December,” the bride-to-be said, clearly disagreeing with what Olivia was saying. “It’s three weeks before my wedding, and you’re telling me this now.”

She also poked holes in Olivia’s alternative plan, saying she couldn’t possibly do both events as the wedding would be in the Yarra Valley, outside Melbourne. She asked, “How are you going to come to my wedding and then go to Taylor Swift and come back? How is that even possible?”

Jessie also mentioned that there were other people invited who chose to go to the Swift concert instead of her wedding, which hurt the bride-to-be’s feelings. Olivia also knew about it, which made the situation much worse. Jessie asked: “So would you like to miss a part of my wedding to go to the Taylor Swift concert?”

The bridesmaid replied, “I know, I seem like a terrible friend.”

One of the hosts, Fifi Box, interrupted the call as tension was rising between the two friends, with Olivia beginning to cry and saying how “anxious” she was feeling about telling him the truth. “I’ve been there every step of the way, and I was going to tell you while we were trying on the bridesmaid dresses,” Olivia told Jesse.

Jessie responded, “Even though I don’t even understand, you went and bought tickets for my wedding date.” “I’m sorry, I’m not trying to be mean right now, I guess I’m just angry before I’m upset.” She added: “I want you to be next to me on my day, and you won’t be there.”

The tense segment ended there, with the hosts quipping that they should consider using a helicopter to carry out Olivia’s plan without any interruptions.
